TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

In addition following will be provided in the panel:

a)The Panel shall also consists of High current source having capacity 0-1000 amps. at 3 KVA. The Source shall be suitable for working on 230 V single phase 50 Hz. AC supply and complete with Output Bus-Bars and Input ON indicator etc. The Source shall have own Variable Transformer and shall be energise from one of the three phase supply.

b)AC HV Breaddown Tester shall be provided having capacity 0-5 KV at 100 mA and tripping at 5/25/50 and 100 mA. The unit shall be complete with test lead, input and output ON indicator.

c)0-24Volts at 10 Amps or 0-48 Volts at 5 Amps supply shall be provided brought out on Banana Terminals for testing DC Relay and other DC system etc. The unit shall be complete with ‘ON-OFF’ switch, input ‘ON’ indicator 72 sq.mm. output Voltmeter and Amperemeter.

d)A DC continuity tester shall also be provided with Indicator and ‘ON-OFF’switch.

e)Separate phantom loading arrangement shall be provided

f)Phase shifting arrangement shall be separately

g)All measuring instrument shall be of digital type.

'RE' Portable Secondary Injection/Relay Test set is designed for working on 220/230 single phase 50Hz Ac supply and complete with power 'ON-OFF' indicator, circuit 'ON' indicator. CURRENT CIRCUIT: To Inject current of desired value in the relay/contactor. This circuit consists of loading transformer, selector switch, variable control, fine adjustment. Depending upon specific requirement percentage selector switch can also be provided to inject current at various multiples. The current injected is indicated by Ampere Meter. For large range the Ammeter has a multiplier or current transformer.

VOLTAGE CONTROL: This circuit supplies voltage Independently as per requirement. The continuously variable voltage or fixed tap voltage can be provided as desired by the user. AC or DC or both voltages can be provided along with corresponding metering, indications, switches etc.

PHASE SHIFT CIRCUIT: This is incorporated only when special type of relays are to be tested. The phase angle between voltage & current is developed to obtain current operational parameters of the relay.

TIME CIRCUIT: Digital Timers with freezing facility is provided for recording the operation/tripping time of relays under test.

Each circuit is independent & push button operated, relay/contractor to control the output of the circuit.

Primary Current Injection Tester - AC High Current

Primary Injection test sets are used to loading. Calibration and testing of CT's bimetals relays, Protection relays etc. Mostly Primary Injection Test set are designed as per customer's specification. The Primary Injections Test sets are of 15 minutes ON/30 Minutes OFF duty i.e. testing duty only. ‘RE’ Variac Continuously Variable Auto Transformers usually form part of system in which other components such as transformers. Diode etc. are used as power components, ‘RE’ Variac Engineers are well experienced in such applications and are always available for consultation to prospective users.

The proportion between iron section and copper turns is such that at the maximum AC applied voltage maximum NO LOAD current is within 5%.

The insulation of the wire over one face is removed the output is taken between one end and the brush arm. The moving Brush contacts the next turn before it breaks away from the previous turn, thus, there is no interruption in output voltage.

‘RE’ Variac is designed to Boost the Output, Voltage by 12% than the input voltage. Three Single phase units are connected in star for 3 phase four wire system. The brush arms are moved by a common shaft and the Star point is connected to the neutral of the system. A three phase voltage variable from zero to 470V is obtained, if the Input voltage is 415V in case of single phase 270V is obtained if input is 240V. Custom made capacities can be manufactured and as yet the manufacturing range covers upto 2000 Amperes in three phase.

OPTIONAL: ‘RE’ Variacs are available with motor drive. The type of motor used for driving is specially made for this application. It is 240V AC motor operating with speed of 60 RPM synchronous at 50Hz. It is instantly reversible and can be stopped without overrun. It speed depends on frequency i.e. 60 RPM at 50 Hz. Supply. The desired speed is obtained by suitable by gearing. It starts stops & reverses instantly. It is ideal for automatic voltage control through Electronic system. *It can be stalled indefinitely without over heating.
